F&M (8) - Dickinson (6)

The Franklin and Marshall Diplomats ice hockey team is right where they want to be heading into the next couple of weeks. The Diplomats came out victorious after a tightly played back and forth battle culminating with Dickinson pulling their goalie late in the third period. The Diplomats were called for a tripping penalty, which allowed them to ice the puck and score on the empty net giving them the 8-6 lead.

Next weekend, F&M will play American University who sits in second place in the Dixon division. The game starts on Super Bowl Sunday at 12:45 p.m. in Lancaster.

12/3/11 F&M (7) - PSH (5)

In a back and forth battle, the Diplomats came out on top 7 to 5 this past Saturday night, December 3rd. Up by only one goal at the start of the third period, F&M was able to grab a two goal lead with about 8 minutes left in the third. Solid penalty killing and aggressive goaltending from freshman Joe Webb took care of the rest of the game. This was the Diplomats last game of the semester and the team is happy to be going into the break with a victory. 2012 brings only two more games for F&M, both at home in Lancaster. January 28th they are matched up against Dickinson and their final home game is against American University, the only time these two teams go head to head.

11/19 F&M vs. Gettysburg

F&M took on rival school Gettysburg this past Saturday, the 19th of November. Despite a short bench from both teams, there was plenty of scoring as the Diplomats were able to find the back of the net eleven times. The final score tallied at 11-3 in favor of the Dips. F&M, after a welcome Thanksgiving break, looks to take down Penn State Harrisburg, Dickinson and American University in their remaining three games.
